With a tourism led economy it’s no surprise that their is no shortage of amusement, water and theme parks in Bali. For it’s size the island has an absolute bounty of water parks, paintball venues, kids play zones and general amusement locales. With all this in mind we set about getting them all into a top ten that would offer anyone, with or without children, a real set of options on amusements. While every effort is made to only include locations which allow children we here at Top Ten Bali still recommend calling the location first to ensure that they do not have age restrictions which may affect you or any of your family members enjoyment.
What makes a number 1 fun park?
Waterparks and theme parks are in more than one list for a good reasons. They take top spots in other top tens because of the great family entertainment they offer. Additionally one of the entries, Waterboom Bali even gets it’s very own top ten (Top Ten Waterbom Bali) because of the depth of things on offer.
What gets the other in?
For a small island Bali does have a lot going for it however in terms of theme and water parks the standards are not as high as they may be in Australia. This said our top ten is packed with fun activities and safe spots to make the most of during your stay. What is most important is that the entries are long standing or at least well maintained. This list, more than most, will see a lot of reviews as standards can drop and this needs to be reflected in any new list.
Look, we know, Bali doesn’t have great depth when it comes to water parks and theme parks and its not going to compete with most Australian cities. Don’t get us wrong, even beyond this top ten the island does in fact have a lot to offer in terms of the theme parks and other venues. The fact is that these types of parks take massive capital injections and at the moment Bali just doesn’t have them in the same volumes as you would expect in Australia. Land is also at a premium and smaller businesses are more common, even in the experience business.
